DESCRIPTION:Woman’s Guild Commissioning\nThe first ministry God assigned to women was to "be a suitable helper" (Genesis 2:18)\nfor the man\, of whom they were of the same substance (Genesis 2:23). The term helper\ndoesnt indicate subordination but differentiation and complementarity.\nThis agrees very well with the first creation account where we’re are told the human\nbeings were created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis1:26-28). This has great\nimplications for women in the Lords Service because it implies that:\nA. Both MEN and WOMEN are created in the image and likeness of God\nB. Both MEN and WOMEN were given the responsibility of taking care of the\nwhole world\, and benefiting from it wholesomely\nC. Both MEN and WOMEN were given the ability to procreate\, that is\, powers to\nbring forth new life responsibly.\nD. Both MEN and WOMEN are called to worship and obey this God who desires\ntheir company and fellowship (Genesis 3:8-10)\nE. The seed of the woman will be given the power to crush the head of the serpent\n(Genesis 3;15)\nAs women serve in the Lord's vineyard\, this foundational mandate should act as a guiding\nprinciple in carrying out our work. God bless Woman's Guild ministry. Amen
